Welcome to Laugh Club: The First Rule of Laugh Club? You Must Laugh!

What is Laugh Club?

Laugh Club is where we get together to laugh, plain and simple! We are a group dedicated to the exploration and celebration of laughter's transformative power as both an art form and a wellness practice. Through laughter exercises, playful interactions, guided activities, and breathwork techniques, we aim to uplift our spirits, reduce stress, enhance mood, connect with each other, and spread more laughter throughout our community and beyond.

The Rules of Laugh Club:

  1. The First Rule of Laugh Club: You must laugh. When you come to Laugh Club, be ready to laugh openly and wholeheartedly and for no reason at all!

  2. The Second Rule of Laugh Club: You MUST laugh. No observer here, everyone participates.

  3. Third Rule: Only two things required to join: a willingness to laugh and a readiness to share that laughter.

  4. Fourth Rule: Laugh for no reason as loudly as you can, as freely as you wish.

  5. Fifth Rule: Laugh together: let the laughter of others make you laugh. Our breathwork practices, gentle movement, and intentional laughter techniques make us laugh together.

  6. Sixth Rule: If someone laughs, joins in, or snorts, the laughter continues: Every laugh adds to the collective joy, so keep the giggles going.

  7. Seventh Rule: No judgments, no reservations. There's no wrong way to laugh in Laugh Club. Be yourself, embrace your own authentic laughter and appreciate the uniqueness of everyone's laugh.

  8. Eighth and Final Rule of Laugh Club: Laughter is contagious! Let it be a healing experience for you and spread it to those around you! Invite friends, family, and anyone who could use a good chuckle to join the fun.

Laughter is an Art!

Laughter is a natural and universal human expression that is meant to be shared. The way we laugh, appreciate, and cultivate laughter indeed make it a true art form. Like any expression, every laugh is uniquely expressive, nuanced and varied, from infectious bursts to subtle chuckles. It involves timing and sensitivity, knowing when and how to modulate it for different situations. Creating laughter, whether through jokes, stories, or physical comedy, demands creativity and understanding of what amuses people. Appreciating laughter also requires an artistic sensibility, recognizing humor in everyday situations and finding joy in the absurd. Ultimately, laughter involves many elements of creativity, skill, and artistry that make it more than just a spontaneous reaction. Join Laugh Club and delve into this art of laughter with us!
